Plant Studio Shipping & Returns Policy

By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms below.


Shipping

We ship UK-wide via Royal Mail. Live plants are sent using Tracked 24, and non-plant items are sent using Tracked 48.

Dispatch Time

Orders are processed within one to two business days. Tracking may take up to 48 hours to update.

Shipping Costs

UK-wide shipping is £6.99.
Local delivery within Bristol (BS1–BS16) is £5–£10 depending on postcode.
Local collection from our Bedminster shop is free.

Weekend Orders

Orders placed after 4pm on Friday and throughout the weekend (until Sunday 2pm) will be dispatched on Monday. Orders are prepared during business hours only, and Royal Mail collects the following working day. This helps prevent plants from sitting in transit over the weekend.


Royal Mail Responsibility

Once your order has been dispatched and collected by Royal Mail, it is in their care. We always pack and send orders promptly, but we cannot speed up delivery, redirect parcels, or make changes once it leaves the shop.

Royal Mail considers Tracked 24 delayed only after five working days and Tracked 48 delayed after seven working days. Claims for lost parcels can only be raised ten working days after the expected delivery date.

Your dispatch email contains a tracking link, which is the quickest way to follow your parcel or get updates directly from Royal Mail. If you need help understanding the tracking, feel free to contact us.


Lost or Delayed Parcels

If your parcel has not arrived within Royal Mail’s delay window, please let us know. We will then submit a claim with Royal Mail on your behalf. If the parcel is confirmed lost, we will refund or replace your order depending on stock availability.


Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

Please ensure that your delivery address is complete and accurate at checkout, including any flat numbers or access instructions. We cannot refund or replace orders that cannot be delivered due to incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer.


Delivered But Not Received

If tracking shows your parcel has been delivered but it has not been received, please check with neighbours, safe places, outbuildings, or household members. We cannot refund or replace orders that Royal Mail has scanned as delivered, as this is outside our control.


Weather Delays

To protect your plants, we may delay dispatch during severe weather such as freezing temperatures, heatwaves, or storms. We will always notify you if your order is affected.


Cold Weather Shipping and Heat Packs

Plants are sensitive to cold temperatures. If temperatures are forecast to fall below 0°C, we may delay dispatch for plant safety if a heat pack has not been added to your order. We will contact you if this affects your shipment.

We strongly recommend adding a heat pack when temperatures fall below 10°C. We cannot be responsible for cold damage if a heat pack was not added during cold periods.


Local Delivery (BS1–BS16)

Local delivery usually arrives within 24 hours and sometimes on the same day, but it may take up to 72 hours. If you require delivery sooner or have any specific needs, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Safe Place Requirement

You must provide a safe place in the order notes for us to leave your delivery if you are not home. We cannot accept or deliver local orders without a safe-place instruction. Deliveries without a safe place may be delayed or cancelled.

Missed Deliveries

We are unable to offer redelivery for local orders if no safe place was provided or if delivery cannot be completed.

Orders placed during business hours are usually ready within one to two hours. You will receive an email when your order is ready for collection.


Returns and Refunds

Live Plants

Live plants cannot be returned unless there is an issue with your order.
In-store purchases may be returned within 24 hours if the plant is in the same condition or a problem is identified shortly after purchase.
For online orders, if your plant arrives damaged or unwell, contact hello@plant.studio within 24 hours of delivery with photos.

We cannot accept returns for plants kept in unsuitable conditions or for natural changes such as flowering plants going out of bloom. Requests outside the 24-hour window may be considered but are not guaranteed.

Non-Plant Items

Non-plant items can be returned within 30 days if unused and in their original packaging.
To request a return, contact hello@plant.studio with your order number. Please do not return items without approval.
Refunds are issued once items are inspected and usually take five to ten business days depending on your bank.


Shipping Fees

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described. In those cases, we will refund both the item and the original shipping fee as required by law.
Shipping costs cannot be refunded for change of mind, address errors, missed deliveries, parcels marked as delivered, or orders returned without approval.

Workshop Policy

Workshop bookings cannot be refunded or rescheduled due to non-attendance. If you provide at least 48 hours’ notice, we can refund or move your booking to another available date.
