Actinidia arguta ‘Issai’: a kiwi vine with a twist – no fuzz, no fuss, just loads of bite-sized, smooth-skinned fruit you can eat straight off the vine. Compact, self-fertile, and full of flavour, it's the perfect patio orchard plant.
Plant Care
Position: full sun in a sheltered, warm spot – loves a sunny wall or pergola
Hardiness: fully hardy in the UK (down to -20°C), but protect young plants from late frosts
Hot Tips: self-fertile (no pollination partner needed), but fruiting is best with good summer sun. Prune in winter to shape and in summer to control vigour. Needs strong support – it's a climber with ambition!
