Ficus triangularis ‘Sweetheart’
We can only offer in-store collection of this product.
Ficus triangularis ‘Sweetheart’ is a charming, rare Ficus with small, heart-shaped leaves edged in creamy white variegation. Its compact growth habit and glossy foliage make it an elegant choice for shelves, desks, or as a small statement plant. Slower growing than the Rubber Plant or Fiddle Leaf Fig, this variety stays neat and manageable while still bringing that classic Ficus look.
Plant Care
Light:
Loves bright, indirect light — too little light and you’ll lose that stunning variegation. Keep out of direct afternoon sun to avoid scorched tips, will tolearate evening or morning sun.
Watering:
Let the soil dry out fully between waterings. This one prefers to stay on the dry side — overwatering is the quickest way to make it sulk (and drop leaves).
Temperature:
Thrives in 18–26°C. Avoid draughts, cold blasts, and sudden changes — it likes things steady.
Potting:
A perfect match for our A Sandy Loam mix — free-draining with just enough hold for those roots.
Hot tips:
Once you find the right spot, leave it be — moving it too often can lead to leaf drop. Prune to shape in spring, and wipe leaves to keep the variegation looking crisp.
