An epiphytic cactus with slender, trailing stems and incredible nocturnal blooms, Epiphyllum pumilum is a real collector’s gem. In the right conditions, it produces large, fragrant white flowers that open at night — a magical display that fills the room with perfume. With its cascading growth, it’s perfect for hanging baskets or high shelves where the stems can spill down.
Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light. Too much direct sun, and you risk scorching the leaves. Can handle the morning sun (think East facing window), but the afternoon sun may be too much for this beauty.
Watering: Water when the soil is almost fully dry, and don't allow it to sit in water.
Temperature: 15-28C is ideal.
Potting: These plants like a chunky mix, similar to their natural habitat. Our Airy Aroid is a great choice for this species.
Hot tips: This beauty flowers! But its a special treat when it does as the blooms only last for 24 hours and are only fully open at night.
