Plant Studio is an independent plant shop in Bedminster, Bristol, built on the belief that anyone can grow something — even if you’ve killed a cactus before.
Ran by Devaki and her team, we specialise in rare and unusual houseplants, easy-care greenery, outdoor plants, custom soil mixes, and handmade terrariums. Everything we stock is handpicked with care, with a focus on beauty, resilience, and sustainability.
Whether you’re a new plant parent or a full-on foliage obsessive, our shop is designed to make plant shopping approachable, joyful, and inspiring.
We opened our doors in 2023 on North Street in Bedminster — a creative, leafy, fiercely independent corner of Bristol. We’re proud to be part of the local small business scene, and we try to keep things as low-waste, low-judgement, and low-effort-for-you as possible.

We keep it real
Not every plant wants daily misting or a PhD in horticulture. We’ll help you choose plants that actually suit your space and lifestyle — even if your flat’s a bit shady or you forget to water sometimes.
We don’t gatekeep
Everyone is a plant person. You don’t need expensive tools or perfect knowledge to grow something beautiful. Curiosity and care are more than enough.
We focus on the “why”
Rather than memorising generic care tips, we want you to understand how light, water, soil, and temperature affect your plants. That way, you can troubleshoot with confidence when something changes — and learn as you go.
We’re still learning too
Plants are living things, not static objects. They’ll surprise you — and us — from time to time. We’re here to grow alongside you, not lecture you.

Bring your (pest free) plant (or photos!) into the shop, and we’ll talk you through what it needs. We love helping customers figure out what’s going on and find solutions that work for their home and habits.
Our soil makes a difference
We mix our own peat-free, species-specific soil blends in-house. They’re designed to support healthier roots and better growth — tailored for your plant, not just a generic “one size fits all” potting mix.
