Selaginella lepidophylla - Rescurrection fern - Rose of Jericho
This fantastic plant requires no care when in storage and can completely revive after a few hours of hydration.
Plant Care
Light: Likes bright indirect light.
Watering: To revive your plant, place it in a lukewarm bowl of filter, or rainwater. You can add optional pebbles for looks. Your plant should resurrect after about 4 hours but may only fully after 24 hours have passed. You should change out the water daily or every other day. The plant needs a week-long break from its water home once a month, so allow it to be water free during the same week every month.
Temperature: 15-30°C These plants aren't keen on cold drafts, so keep out of chilly breezes.
Potting: not necessary.
Hot tips: If you want to store your plant, allow it to dry out completely and store it in a paper bag or box until you are ready to resurrect it! These plants can go years without water!
