Shipping Policy
We want your order to arrive safely and in great condition. Below you’ll find how we pack, ship and care for both plant and non-plant items.
Where We Ship
We currently ship within the UK only.
Some items — including oversized pots or very large plants — may be pickup-only or local-delivery-only. These limits will be clearly marked on the product page.
Shipping Methods
We offer the following:

Dispatch Times
Royal Mail collects from us Monday through Saturday.
Orders are usually dispatched the next working day.
Orders placed late in the evening or during busy periods may dispatch a day later.
We do not dispatch on Sundays or bank holidays.
If your order contains both plants and non-plant items, we may ship them together using the safest method (usually Tracked 24).
Packaging & Plant Protection
We take great care to ensure your order arrives safely:
- Plants are packed with soil secured.
- Foliage is protected to prevent breakage.
- We check weather conditions daily.
- Fragile items are wrapped securely.
We always recommend opening your parcel as soon as it arrives.
Winter Weather & Heat Packs
Live plants are sensitive to cold. To help keep them safe:
Heat packs are recommended when temperatures drop below 10°C.
If temperatures fall below 0°C and you have not added a heat pack,
we will delay your dispatch and contact you before posting.
You can choose to:
- add a heat pack,
- hold the order until temperatures improve, or
- switch to local pickup.
We cannot be responsible for cold damage if a heat pack was not added.
Summer Weather
During heatwaves we may hold back plant orders to prevent heat-stress in transit.
We will contact you if this affects your order.
Delivery Times
Royal Mail Tracked services provide an estimate, not a guarantee:
Tracked 24: usually 1 working day
Tracked 48: usually 2 working days
These times may be longer during:
- strikes
- holiday periods
- severe weather
- Royal Mail processing delays
Once your order has been handed to Royal Mail, it is in their care and outside our control.
You will receive a tracking number so you can follow your parcel’s journey.
When Is a Parcel Considered Lost?
Royal Mail considers a parcel lost after 7 working days from the expected delivery date.
If tracking has not updated or your parcel appears lost, please contact us and we will investigate with Royal Mail.
Local Delivery
Available to selected Bristol postcodes at checkout.
- Delivery windows vary depending on the courier’s availability.
- We cannot guarantee exact delivery times.
- If the courier cannot safely deliver (e.g., no safe drop location, no response), a re-delivery fee may apply.
In-Store Pickup
Pickup is free and available during shop opening hours.
You will receive a notification when your order is ready to collect.
Please bring your order confirmation when collecting.
Items We Cannot Ship
For safety and quality reasons, we cannot ship:
- very large indoor plants
- oversized ceramic pots
- fragile items marked “pickup only”
These will be clearly labelled on the product page, and may be availible for local delivery
Customs & International Orders
We do not ship internationally at this time.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Please check your order as soon as it arrives.
If something is damaged, incorrect, or missing, please contact us straight away at hello@plant.studio with photos so we can put it right.
For live plants, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery so we can help promptly.
