Sophora prostrata ‘Little Baby’, also known as the Dwarf Kowhai, is a compact shrub with zig-zagging branches and small, delicate evergreen leaves that give it a bonsai-like appearance. In spring and summer, it may reward you with clusters of golden-yellow pea-shaped flowers that are highly attractive to pollinators. Its unusual structure and tidy growth habit make it a fantastic choice for containers, patios, or as a unique focal point in the garden.

Plant Care 

Light: Full sun - bright indirect light

Watering: Water when the top two inches of soil have dried out. 

Temperature: These plants can survive down to -6 °C so that they will require some protection from prolonged frosts.

Potting: Our Sandy loam mix is a good option. 

Hot tips: This plant is an excellent choice if you want to make your own bonsai. Keep lightly pruned to maintain shape and encourage branching. Great for small gardens or balconies.
