Nov 14, 2025

We’re only halfway through November, but Christmas is already in full swing — and as a tiny independent shop, it honestly seems to start earlier every year! So to get ourselves (and you!) into the festive spirit, we’ve put together a cheerful round-up of our top 10 favourite festive plants.

From cosy indoor bloomers to winter-hardy outdoor beauties, here are the plants bringing all the holibobs vibes to Plant Studio this season.

1. Christmas/ Easter Cactus

How could we not start with a houseplant that has 'Christmas' within its name? The ultimate low-maintenance holiday bloomer! Christmas Cactus rewards you with bright, joyful flowers right when you need a pick-me-up most. They’re easy-care, long-living, and perfect for anyone who wants colour without the faff.

2. Hellabourus

The moody winter queen of the garden. Hellebores flower when almost nothing else dares — offering magical blooms in December, January, and February. Perfect for shady gardens, festive containers, and anyone who loves a little winter drama.

3. Nofolk Pine

Your mini indoor Christmas tree dreams start here. Norfolk Pines bring soft, feathery branches and year-round charm — perfect for decorating now, and just as lovely once the festive season is over. A cosy, living alternative to cut trees!

4. Poinsettia

A classic houseplant that has become a symbol of Christmas from an old Mexican legend. A little fact, the red isn't a flower - that is actually bract leaves!

5. Anthirium

If you love a plant that looks like it’s dressed up for the holidays, Anthuriums are your girl. Their long-lasting, waxy flowers come in rich reds, pinks, and whites — ideal for brightening side tables, gifting to plant lovers, or adding a touch of festive elegance to any room.

6. Amarylis bulb

If you want maximum Christmas drama with minimum effort, waxed Amaryllis bulbs are perfection. They’re mess-free, self-contained, and produce huge, spectacular flowers in winter. A stunning centrepiece and one of our favourite festive gifts every year.

7. Peace lily

A calm moment in the middle of holiday chaos. Peace Lilies bring glossy leaves and elegant white blooms — the perfect plant for creating a serene corner while everything else gets a little too merry.

8. Cyclamen

Cyclamen are one of our favourite outdoor stars for winter. They flower for ages, come in gorgeous pinks, whites, and reds, and stay perky even in chilly weather. Pop them in a pot by the front door for instant festive charm — or gift one to a friend who loves hardy colour through the cold months.

9. Winter Jasmine – Jasminum polyanthum

If you love fragrance at Christmas, Winter Jasmine is the one. Its pretty clusters of pink buds and snowy-white flowers appear in late winter, filling your home with that unmistakable jasmine scent. Beautiful for gifting, training up a hoop, or placing somewhere you’ll walk past often to enjoy the perfume.
