A total show-off of a trailing plant, Hoya ‘Sunrise’ is loved for its glossy green leaves that blush deep red under bright light. The more sun it gets, the richer those sunset tones become—hence the name. It’s also a bloomer, producing clusters of tiny, fragrant, star-shaped flowers when happy. Perfect for shelves or hanging pots where it can trail and do its thing.Plant Care
Light:Bright indirect light is ideal. Can tolerate some direct sun—this is what brings out that gorgeous red colouring. Less light = greener leaves. Don't try for low-light conditions with this one.
Watering: Let the soil dry out between waterings. Hoyas are semi-succulent and prefer to be kept on the drier side rather than soggy.
Temperature:18-24°C These plants prefer things on the warmer side but don't let them get below 16°C
Potting: These plants like a well-draining mix. Our Airy Aroidmix does the trick
Hot tips: Don’t remove old flower spurs—this is where it will bloom again. Slight stress (bright light + drying out a bit) can encourage flowering.
