You will receive a similar plant to the one photographed and not necessarily the same. If you would like a photo of the exact plant we are sending, just drop us a line! Pots and plants are sold separately unless otherwise specified in the listing.
Senecio rowleyanus, better known as String of Pearls, is a trailing succulent with perfectly round bead-like leaves that spill gracefully from its pot. A favourite among collectors, it’s eye-catching in hanging planters or on high shelves where its long strands can cascade. When happy, it may even produce clusters of small, cinnamon-scented white flowers.
Plant Care
Light :Bright, indirect light to full sun. A south- or west-facing window is ideal. My rule with this plant is to place it where it has a view of the sky.
Watering: Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Usually we wait until the perals start to get a bit less firm.
Temperature:15-29°C is ideal for these strings of things, but make sure not to let it dip below 10°C for too long or you may start losing the lovely little pearls.
Potting:Drainage is key here, so a succulent mix is a good choice for this. OurSavvy Succais a great fit for this plant.
Hot tips: This plant is easy to propagate! Just coil a string on some soil making sure the nodes touch the earth and you have a new string of pearls! Handle with care – the delicate pearls can pop off easily. Rotate regularly to keep growth even.
Pet Friendly: NO
