Polyscias ‘Fabian’ – Dinner Plate Aralia

With its tree-like shape and round, deep green leaves edged in purple, Polyscias ‘Fabian’ brings a bold architectural vibe to any room. It naturally grows upright with a woody stem, making it feel more like an indoor tree than a houseplant. A perfect choice if you want height, presence, and a little drama in your space.

Plant Care 

Light: Moderate to bright indirect light. Will tolerate lower light levels.

Watering: Water when the soil is dry. These plants prefer things on the direr side so better to under rather than overwater. Overwatering is the fastest way to upset this plant.

Temperature: 18-29°C is the ideal range for these, and they won't be keen on going below 15°C 

Potting: A well-draining mix is great for these. Our A Sandy Loam is a perfect fit. Repot infrequently — Polyscias likes slightly snug roots.

Hot tips:  Due to its laid-back nature, this low-maintenance plant is an excellent choice if you are a traveller or forgetful waterer. This plant thrives on stability. Try not to move it around too much, as it can drop leaves when stressed. With consistent care, it will reward you with a strong, sculptural form.
