Cayenne Chilli: fiery, slender, and locally grown with love. These classic red chillies are all heat and flavour – long, tapering pods that pack a punch without overwhelming the taste. Perfect for drying, slicing fresh into sauces, or infusing oils, they’re a staple for any spice lover. Grown from seed by a passionate allotmenteer right here in Bristol, they bring a little extra heat and heart to your garden or windowsill.

Plant Care

Position: full sun – thrives in warmth, whether in a greenhouse, conservatory, or sunny patio
Height: 60–90cm – ideal for pots, raised beds, or grow bags with support
Feeding & Watering: water regularly, especially in hot weather; feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser once flowering starts
Hot Tips: pick regularly to encourage more fruit. Chillies can be used green or left to ripen to a deep red. Best grown in a sheltered, warm location – bring indoors in cooler weather if needed.
