You will receive a similar plant to the one photographed and not necessarily the same. If you would like a photo of the exact plant we are sending, just drop us a line! Pots and plants are sold separately unless otherwise specified in the listing.
A wonderfully unusual plant with velvety, paw-shaped pink flowers held on tall stems above clumps of slender green foliage. Native to Australia, Kangaroo Paw brings bold colour and sculptural texture to sunny patios, containers and bright indoor spaces. Weird in the best way. 🦘🌈
Plant Care Light: Think Bright light, a splash of morning or evening sun is ideal.. Too dark? Expect leaf drop. East or west-facing windows are perfect, or a bright spot within 2m of a south-facing one. Grow outdoors during summer or keep in a bright conservatory or sunny room.
Watering: Let the top layer of soil dry out between waterings. Deep soak, then dry. Go lighter in winter.
Temperature: Likes it warm in summer (18–24°C), but needs a cool-down to around 15°C in autumn/winter to help trigger blooms. A little daily temp fluctuation is ideal.
Potting: Needs excellent drainage. Our Sandy Loam mix is perfect for keeping the roots healthy and happy.
Hot tips: Blooms best after a cool, bright winter rest. Keep slightly pot-bound to encourage flowering. Deadhead spent flowers and use a tomato feed when buds appear. Pet friendly and pollinator friendly!
