Jasminum nudiflorum, commonly known as winter jasmine, is a cheerful shrub that brings bright colour to the garden when very little else is in bloom. Its arching green stems are covered in small, star-shaped yellow flowers from late winter into early spring, often appearing before the leaves. This hardy, easy-going plant is perfect for training against walls, spilling over banks, or softening fences with early-season colour.
