Description

Salvia nemorosa ‘Marvel Dark Blue’ is a compact, floriferous hardy perennial with rich deep blue-purple flower spikes that stand proudly above aromatic foliage. Flowering from late spring into summer, this standout variety brings bold colour, structure and movement to borders and containers. A magnet for bees and pollinators, it’s perfect for sunny, low-maintenance planting schemes.

Plant Care

Position: full sun in well-drained soil – perfect for borders, gravel gardens, or containers

Hardiness: fully hardy deciduous perennial in the UK (down to -20°C)

Hot Tips: deadhead regularly to extend flowering and cut back after the first flush to encourage more. Drought-tolerant once established and great for pollinators. Combines beautifully with grasses, achillea, or echinacea.
