Description
Charming, compact, and beautifully patterned, the Haworthia margaritifera (commonly known as the Pearl Plant) is a hardy little succulent that looks like a miniature aloe dotted with raised white “pearls” across its dark green leaves. Its rosette shape and easy-going nature make it ideal for small pots, terrariums, or desks. A perfect choice for anyone who wants a sculptural plant that thrives on neglect.
Light: Bright, indirect light to full sun. It tolerates lower light but shows best form in bright conditions.
Watering: Only water when the soil appears dry, as overwatering can quickly kill these plants. It's usually time to water when your succulent gets a little bit puckery. Cut way back on watering in the winter. Moderate watering in spring/summer and cut it way back to once or twice a month in winter.
Temperature: An easygoing plant that will prefer 15-25°C, but can go as low as 5°C but will suffer injury if it gets much colder
Potting: A well-draining mix is ideal for this plant. Our Savvy Succa would be a great fit.
Hot tips: This slow grower rarely needs repotting. Great for small pots or mixed succulent arrangements. Wipe leaves occasionally to remove dust and enhance their sculptural look.
Pet Friendly: Yes
