Ledebouria socialis - Silver Squill
This eye-catching and unusual succulent is both easy to care for and flowering. A must-have for any succulent fan's collection!
Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light is best for this beauty. It prefers bright light and can handle some direct sun; however, be careful to avoid midday sun as this can scorch the leaves.
Watering: These plants are drought tolerant. Only water when the soil appears very dry, as overwatering can quickly kill these plants. Cut way back on watering in the winter.
Temperature: It's best not to let this plant go below 3°C for more than a brief period, and don't allow it to go below freezing. In the winter, this plant will be encouraged to flower if you allow it to have a little rest in autumn by placing it in temps around 12-15C.
Potting: A well-draining mix is ideal for this plant. Our Savvy Succa would be a great fit. This plant is fine being rootbound, so no need to re-pot too frequently.
Hot tips: Lookout for its blooms in late winter/early spring
