Description

Soleirolia: soft, mossy, and endlessly charming. This fast-spreading ground cover forms a dense mat of tiny, bright green leaves that tumble from pots or creep gently through shady corners. Delicate in looks, but surprisingly tough.

Plant Care

Position: part to full shade, in moist, well-drained soil – great in terrariums, underplanting, or shaded pots

Hardiness: tender to half-hardy evergreen perennial in the UK (down to around -5°C); grow indoors or in sheltered outdoor spots

Hot Tips: keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Perfect for terrariums, mixed planters, or as a natural “living mulch” in shaded container displays. Can be trimmed to shape or refreshed by a light shear.
