Its bold colouring and compact growth habit make it perfect for terrariums, shallow planters, tropical displays, and colourful indoor plant collections. Unlike many bromeliads, Cryptanthus are grown primarily for their dramatic foliage rather than flowers, bringing long-lasting colour and texture indoors.

Watering: They appreciate having moist soil all the time, but be sure not to soak it, or you risk root rot.
Temperature:This plant likes it warm and humid, so don't let it get below 15°C, or you risk leaf damage.
Potting: These plants like a well-draining mix. Our Airy Aroidmix is an excellent choice for this plant.
Hot tips: Don't water direct into the centre of this plant, as you risk fungal issues.
