Its glossy green leaves bring texture and lightness to corners, desks, or plant shelves. Easy to care for and endlessly photogenic, it’s a perfect choice for both beginners and seasoned plant lovers.
Plant Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. A little gentle morning or evening sunshine is fine, but avoid strong midday summer sun.
Watering: Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry before watering thoroughly. Let excess water drain away, and water less frequently during winter.
Temperature: Normal room temperatures suit it well. Aim for 15°C or above and keep it away from cold draughts and radiators.
Potting: Use a free-draining houseplant mix like our Airy Aroid and a pot with drainage holes. Repot when the roots have filled the pot, moving up just one size.
Hot tips: Rotate the pot regularly for even growth. If it starts getting leggy, prune just above a leaf joint in spring to encourage branching. Check the undersides of the leaves occasionally for pests.
