Product details
Sedum (Mixed Varieties), commonly known as Stonecrop, is a collection of hardy, low-maintenance succulents grown for their colourful foliage and spreading habit. Available in a range of textures and shades from soft blue-greens to vibrant golds and rosy reds, these versatile plants are perfect for rockeries, gravel gardens, alpine beds, green roofs and containers. Their fleshy leaves store water, making them exceptionally drought tolerant, while many varieties produce clusters of nectar-rich flowers that attract bees and other pollinators throughout summer.
Plant Care
Light: Prefers full sun for the brightest foliage colours and compact growth. Will tolerate light shade.
Watering: Water regularly while establishing. Once mature, Sedums are highly drought tolerant and only require watering during prolonged dry spells.
Temperature: Fully hardy in the UK and suitable for year-round outdoor growing.
Potting: Plant in free-draining, peat-free compost or well-drained garden soil. Ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, containers and wall crevices where drainage is excellent.
Hot tips: Avoid overwatering, particularly during winter, as Sedums dislike sitting in wet soil. Trim back any untidy growth in spring to encourage fresh new shoots. These easy-care succulents spread gradually, making them excellent ground cover for sunny spots.
