Peperomia caperata ‘Quito’, also called the Quito Ripple Peperomia, is a compact, pet-safe beauty with deeply rippled, heart-shaped leaves in a dramatic burgundy hue that shimmers with metallic undertones. This small but striking houseplant adds an instant pop of colour and texture to desks, shelves, and plant displays, all while asking for very little care.

Plant Care
Light:
Loves bright, indirect light, but handles medium light just fine. Too much direct sun can fade its rich colour.

Watering:
Let the top few centimetres of soil dry out before watering. It stores water in its stems and roots, so don’t overdo it — less is more.

Temperature:
Happy in 18–26°C, and keep above 15°C. Avoid draughts and temperature dips.

Potting:
Thrives in our A Sandy Loam mix — lightweight and well-draining for a healthy root system.

Hot tips:
This plant likes to be slightly root-bound, so don’t rush to repot. Rotate regularly for even growth, and avoid letting water sit in the crown.
