Hoya Wayetii - Wax Flower

Hoya wayetii brings a sleek, sculptural twist to the classic wax plant. Its long, narrow leaves are deep green with darker margins, and when grown in bright light, they develop a rich reddish hue. A beautiful trailing or hanging plant that occasionally rewards with clusters of deep red, star-shaped flowers—it’s a must for any Hoya lover.

Plant Care 

Light: Thrives in bright light and can handle a few hours of sun. Brighter light encourages leaf colouring and flowering.

Watering:  Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water deeply, then let it drain well—this semi-succulent Hoya hates soggy roots. To encourage flowering, soak the vines when watering. 

Temperature: 18-24°C These plants prefer things on the warmer side, but don't let them get below 13°C 

Potting: Our A Sandy Loam mix is perfect—light, airy, and fast-draining, just the way Hoyas like it.

Hot tips: Likes to be slightly rootbound—repot only when necessary. To encourage blooms, give it plenty of light and a little plant stress, and some extra humidity.
