Description
Primulina yungfuensis is a charming, compact indoor houseplant with soft, slightly textured green leaves often marked with subtle silver patterning. Part of the Gesneriad family (related to African violets), it forms a neat rosette and can produce delicate tubular flowers in shades of lilac or pale purple. It’s a great choice for smaller spaces, shelves, or collectors looking for something a little different but still easy to care for.
Plant Care
Light: This plant loves bright indirect light, but the direct sun could scorch the leaves.
Watering: They like to be moist all the time but don't fare well if overwatered. Will recover from underwatering. Sensitive to excess moisture on leaves so bottom watering is best.
Temperature: Ideally, they want 18-24°C, especially if you want them to flower. Don't let it get below 5°C. Otherwise, you will see leaf drop and have one sad-looking plant.
Potting: A well-draining and moisture-retaining mix is perfect. Our Thirst Trap mix should do the trick!
Hot tips: This plant loves humidity, so a bright, steamy bathroom is ideal Deadhead spent flowers to encourage repeat blooming. This is also a great choice for terrariums.
