Hoya australis 'Lisa' - Wax plant

A beautifully colourful Hoya with thick, glossy leaves patterned in creamy yellow, lime green and deep green. New growth often emerges in shades of pink, red or burgundy, giving the plant an extra flush of colour.

Its long stems can be left to trail from a shelf or hanging planter or trained around a support. Mature plants may also produce clusters of sweetly scented, star-shaped white flowers with pinkish-red centres.

Plant Care 

Light: Likes bright indirect light. Don't try for low-light conditions with this one.

Watering: Let the top 1/3 of your plant pot dry out in between waterings.

Temperature: 18-24°C These plants prefer things on the warmer side but don't let them get below 16°C 

Potting: These plants like a well-draining mix. Our Airy Aroid mix does the trick, although best to resist repotting too often as this plant likes to be a bit snug in its plant. 

Hot tips: Humidity is key for hoyas, a bright bathroom would be ideal! This plant is a light feeder, so don't go crazy with the fertiliser.

Pet Friendly: YES, but the sap can be a mild skin irratant.
