Rhipsalis agudoensis is an unusual epiphytic cactus with long, slender stems that trail and branch as the plant matures. Unlike the spiky desert cacti you might expect, Rhipsalis naturally grows in tropical forests, often clinging to trees beneath the canopy. Its soft, cascading growth makes it especially good for shelves, hanging pots and anywhere you can let the stems tumble freely.
Easy-going and a little bit weird, it’s a brilliant choice if you want something textural without taking up loads of surface space.
Plant Care
Light:Bright indirect light. Too much direct sun, and you risk scorching the leaves. Can handle the morning sun (think East facing window), but the afternoon sun may be too much for this beauty.
Watering:Water when the soil is almost fully dry, and don't allow it to sit in water.
Temperature:15-28C is ideal.
Potting: These plants like a chunky mix, similar to their natural habitat. Our Airy Aroid is a great choice for this species.
