Description

Anthurium peltigerum is a striking foliage anthurium prized for its bold, architectural leaves and sculptural presence. With thick, shield-like foliage that develops a deep green sheen and pronounced venation as it matures, this species has a quietly powerful look that feels both prehistoric and refined. Slower-growing and more considered than flowering anthuriums, it’s a collector favourite for those who love statement leaves and low-drama elegance. A beautiful choice for bright, calm interiors where texture and form do the talking.

Plant Care

Light: Bright indirect light is ideal, though this plant can handle lower light levels. Be sure that direct sunlight is not hitting the leaves.

Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Little and often is ideal for this plant. so during summer months, about twice a week with half a cup of water, and in winter once a week with half a cup should do the trick.

Temperature: 20 to 30°C is ideal.

Potting: A well-draining chunky mix is ideal. Our Super Chonk or Airy Aroid mix is a great choice.

Hot tips: Humidity is key to maintaining a happy plant here. This is an ideal specimen for a bathroom or greenhouse cabinet as they prefer a minimum humidity over 50% but ideally more.
