Aglaomorpha Coronans Jim Snake Leaf - Basket Fern
Wild, prehistoric, and totally unique—Aglaomorpha coronans ‘Jim’ is a sculptural fern with snake-like rhizomes, leathery green fronds, and a habit of spilling over baskets like a jungle crown. If you're after unusual texture, this one's for you.
Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light is best. Can handle a little morning sun but protect from harsh midday rays. Too little light can cause slow or sparse growth.
Watering: Keep the soil lightly moist, but not soggy. Let the top layer dry slightly between waterings. Use rain or filtered water where possible.
Temperature: 10 to 28°C is ideal, and it can tolerate as low as 10°C but not for long periods.
Potting: This plant should be planted in a well-draining, moisture-retaining mix, such as our Thirst Trap mix.
Hot tips: Loves humidity—ideal for bathrooms or a humid spot. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a gentle houseplant feed. Don’t bury the rhizomes—let them rest on top of the soil or moss.
