Euphorbia acrurensis, often called the Desert Candle, is a tall, sculptural succulent with upright, ridged stems that can branch into striking candelabra shapes. A bold statement plant, it’s perfect for sunny rooms and minimal-care plant lovers.

Plant Care 

Light: Loves bright light and full sun. A south or west-facing window is perfect. But will tolerate bright indirect as long as its allowed to fully dry out between waterings.

Watering: Wait until the soil is arid, then give it a good soak. Think drought and then tropical downpour. In winter months, cut wayyyyy back on the watering, and give it a drink when you notice it starting to pucker. 

Temperature: This plant prefers to be warm, so avoid placing it below 10°C or any sudden temperature fluctuations. 

Potting: A terracotta pot and succulent mix are ideal for these. Our Savvy Succa mix does the trick for this plant. 

Hot tips: The sap from this plant can irritate the skin, so be sure to wear gloves when handling.
