Burst Open Glass Terrarium
A little slice of the jungle—inside glass. This open terrarium is hand-planted in Bristol with a Nepenthes (tropical pitcher plant), creating a striking, carnivorous centrepiece that’s as fascinating as it is beautiful. Each terrarium is unique, with natural moss and textures layered around the plant for a living, evolving display.
Plant Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is best. A sunny windowsill that avoids harsh midday rays will keep pitchers forming.
Watering: Keep the moss and soil evenly damp, never letting it dry out. Use rainwater or distilled water if possible, as tap water can be too harsh.
Temperature: Happy in warm rooms between 18–26°C. Avoid draughts and keep away from radiators.
Potting: Best left in its terrarium setting. If you ever need to repot, use our Thirst Trap mix with added sphagnum moss.
Hot Tips: Pitchers come and go naturally—don’t panic if some dry up. With steady light and humidity, new ones will replace them.
Pet Friendly: Yes – while unusual, Nepenthes aren’t toxic to pets.
We can only offer in-store collection or local Bristol delivery of this product due to its fragile nature.
There is a one-month guarantee from the purchase date. If the terrarium you purchased fails within this period, we will restore your terrarium free of charge. After this date, we offer a rebuild service for a fee, based on the size of the terrarium.
