Description

Aubrieta ‘Rose Queen’ is a cheerful spring groundcover that spills over walls, rockeries, and borders in a cascade of bright rosy-purple flowers. This low-growing alpine forms a neat evergreen mat of grey-green foliage that becomes completely smothered in colour in early spring – perfect for softening edges and bringing life to sunny spots.

Plant Care
Position: full sun in well-drained soil – ideal for rock gardens, gravel beds, and cascading over walls or containers

Hardiness: fully hardy evergreen perennial in the UK (down to around -20°C)

Hot Tips: trim back lightly after flowering to keep plants compact and encourage fresh growth. Aubrieta thrives in poor, well-drained soils and dislikes heavy, wet conditions, especially in winter. Excellent for early pollinators.
