These plants are discounted due to cosmetic damage only—we never sell plants with pest issues. Your new green friend will be pest-free and ready to thrive.

Begonia 'Rouge Variegated' is a striking foliage houseplant grown for its dramatic combination of deep burgundy-red leaves edged and splashed with creamy variegation. The rich contrast in colour gives this begonia a bold, almost painted appearance, making it an eye-catching addition to shelves, terrariums, cabinets, or bright indoor spaces. Its compact growth habit makes it ideal for smaller homes while still creating plenty of visual impact.

Like many begonias, it enjoys stable conditions with good humidity and rewards consistent care with lush, colourful foliage throughout the year.

Plant Care 

Light: Likes bright light but can deal with a bit of lower light. An East or West window is ideal. 

Watering: These plants like to have moist soil all the time, but don't let it sit in water as it's prone to root rot. Try to avoid splashing water on its leaves. 

Temperature: 18-30°C These plants just want a steady, even temperature and high humidity 

Potting: These plants like a well-draining and moisture-retaining mix. Our Thirst Trap mix is an excellent choice for this plant.

Hot tips: These plants love humidity but really can't tolerate a lot of moisture on their delicate leaves, so skip the misting and add in a pebble tray or place it with friends to up the humidity.
