Cereus Forbesii Spirals - Twisted Cereus
Twisted, tall, and totally mesmerising—Cereus forbesii 'Spiralis' (aka Twisted Cereus) is a true desert oddball. Its swirling blue-green ribs grow in a perfect spiral, making it look like nature had a little fun designing this one.
Plant Care
Light: Full sun is best. This cactus loves heat and direct light—outdoors in summer or in a sunny south-facing window indoors.
Watering: Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. In winter, water very sparingly or not at all. Overwatering is its biggest enemy.
Temperature: Thrives in 20–30°C. Can tolerate cooler temps down to around 5°C if kept dry, but it’s not frost-hardy—bring indoors before freezing.
Potting: Our Savvy Succa mix is ideal—gritty, fast-draining, and designed for drought-tolerant roots.
Hot tips: Grows slowly but steadily with the right light. May bloom with large white flowers once mature—usually at night! Handle with care—spines are sharp and stems are delicate.
