A fantastic statement plant, the Bird of Paradise can add lovely structural beauty to your home. This cultivator is a more compact grower compared to the Strelitzia Nicolai and produces orange flowers after about three to ten years of growth.
Plant Care
Light: Give this plant some sun! Just be careful that it's not direct, as you don't want to scorch those beautiful leaves.
Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry, this plant is a thirsty one, but be sure not to leave water sitting to avoid root rot.
Temperature: 18-27°C is ideal, but it can tolerate as low as 10°C
Potting: You don't need to repot this plant too often as it prefers to be a bit root-bound. Our Airy Aroid mix is a great choice for this plant.
Hot tips: To encourage blooming, give your plant plenty of light and food and keep it slightly pot-bound.
Pet Friendly: NOPE, it's mildly toxic to those furry friends.
