You will receive a similar plant to the one photographed and not necessarily the same. If you would like a photo of the exact plant we are sending, just drop us a line! Pots and plants are sold separately unless otherwise specified in the listing.
Eucalyptus gunnii, commonly known as Cider Gum, is a fast-growing evergreen tree loved for its beautiful silvery-blue foliage and fresh eucalyptus scent. Young plants produce distinctive rounded leaves that look incredible alongside other foliage plants and are brilliant for cutting and using in arrangements. As the tree matures, the foliage gradually becomes longer and more lance-shaped.
Light: These lovely trees love the sun, so they're perfect for a sunny patio.
Watering: Wait until the soil is dry, then give it a good watering. Roughly once a week, and possibly more during the height of summer. After your Eucalyptus is more established, it will become drought-tolerant.
Temperature:This is a cold hardy plant, so it can go down to -8 to -13°C, so a lovely choice to add some green to your garden or patio. The younger trees are more sensitive to the frosts and become hardier as they go on.
Potting: An airy and well-draining mix is ideal for these. Our Airy Ariod mix would be a lovely fit if you are growing this beauty indoors.
Hot tips:Keep this beauty in bright light, and it will be a happy plant.
Pet Friendly:This plant is toxic to pets, but our cat doesn't seem to notice ours in the garden.
