Helianthus ‘Sunsation Flame’ is a compact sunflower with warm golden-orange petals and a dark centre, perfect for pots, patios and sunny borders. It has that classic sunflower cheer but stays much more manageable than giant varieties, making it ideal for bright summer displays.

Plant in full sun in well-draining soil or compost. Water regularly, especially in pots, and deadhead faded blooms to keep it flowering for longer. Great for pollinators.

Plant Care

Position: Full sun. The more sunshine this sunflower receives, the more flowers it will produce.

Watering: Water regularly, particularly during hot weather and when grown in containers. Keep soil moist but well-drained.

Hardiness: Annual. Completes its life cycle in a single growing season.

Hot Tips: Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering throughout summer. Perfect for patio containers where traditional sunflowers would become too large. Feed every few weeks during the growing season to support healthy flowering.
