You will receive a similar plant to the one photographed and not necessarily the same. If you would like a photo of the exact plant we are sending, just drop us a line! Pots and plants are sold separately unless otherwise specified in the listing.
Magnolia × soulangeana, often called the saucer magnolia, is a true spring showstopper. Before the leaves appear, its bare branches are covered in large goblet-shaped flowers in soft shades of pink, rose, and creamy white. Elegant and timeless, this small deciduous tree brings a touch of drama and romance to gardens each spring and makes a stunning focal point in lawns or large borders.
Plant Care Position: full sun to partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil – best planted somewhere sheltered from strong winds
Hardiness: fully hardy deciduous tree in the UK (down to around -20°C)
Hot Tips: Magnolias prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil and dislike being moved once established, so choose the planting spot carefully. Mulch annually to retain moisture and protect shallow roots. Late frosts can occasionally damage early flowers, so a sheltered position is ideal.
