Monarda 'Balmy Rose' -Bee Balm - Bergamot)

Monarda ‘Balmy Rose’, also known as Bee Balm or Bergamot, is a compact hardy perennial producing vibrant rose-pink flowers above aromatic green foliage throughout summer. Its nectar-rich blooms are brilliant for attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators, while its shorter, bushier habit makes it particularly good for containers and the front of sunny borders.

Plant Care

Position: Full sun to partial shade. Flowers best with plenty of sunshine.

Hardiness: Fully hardy in the UK. Dies back over winter before returning with fresh growth in spring.

Hot Tips: Keep the soil reasonably moist during dry spells, particularly when growing in pots. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage a longer display. Good airflow around the plant helps reduce the risk of powdery mildew, which Monarda can sometimes be prone to.
