Musa (Banana Dwarf Cavendish)

This beauty will wow you all season long as it unfurls giant beautiful leaf after leaf! This plant can be kept indoors or is a lovely centrepiece to bring tropical vibes to your patio for the summer. 

Plant Care 

Light: This plant is relatively tolerant, accepting part shade to full sun. Ideally, your plant will want a few hours of morning sun daily. Low light is not key though and your plant wont be happy with this in the long run. 

Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. So if you are in a brighter spot, you will have a thirsty plant. Cut back on watering in winter. 

Temperature: Don't let these beauties freeze, or they will whither away! They will tolerate some cold but will stop growing. So if you are growing yours outside, then be sure to overwinter it before the first frost. Don't let your plant grow below 10C

Potting: A quick draining mix is suitable for these succulents. Our Airy Aroid is a great choice for this plant.

Hot tips: These are hungry plants, so give them fertiliser during the growing season. They love humidity, and yes, if this does become happy enough to produce fruit. It's edible!
