Nephrolepis ‘Tiger Fern’ is a beautifully unusual Boston fern with finely divided fronds marked in soft, varied greens. It has all the lushness of a classic fern but with a lighter, more textured look—perfect for bringing movement and softness to a bright room.
Plant Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. It will cope in gentler light, but keep it out of strong direct sun to prevent the fronds from scorching.
Watering: Keep the compost evenly moist, allowing the very top to dry only slightly between waterings. Do not let it dry out fully or sit in water.
Temperature: Best between 18–26°C. Keep away from cold draughts, radiators and sharp temperature changes.
Potting: Our Thirst Trap mix is ideal—moisture-retentive without becoming heavy, keeping fern roots comfortably hydrated.
Hot tips: Tiger Fern loves a little humidity. It is brilliant in a bright bathroom, or grouped with other houseplants to create a more humid microclimate. Snip away any tired fronds at the base rather than trimming lots of healthy foliage.
Pet Friendly: Yes – generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.
