Plant Care
Light: Loves bright light and thrives in a sunny position. A south or west-facing windowsill is ideal, where it can enjoy several hours of direct sunlight each day.
Watering: Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly during the growing season, then reduce watering significantly during autumn and winter. Overwatering is the quickest way to upset this plant.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 18–30°C but can tolerate cooler conditions down to around 10°C if kept dry.
Potting: Requires a gritty, free-draining potting mix to prevent excess moisture around the roots. Our Savvy Succa potting mix is the perfect choice for this desert-loving beauty.
Hot Tips: Handle with care, as the tiny hair-like spines (glochids) can be irritating to the skin. Use gloves or folded newspaper when repotting. Rotating your plant every few weeks will encourage even growth and prevent it from leaning towards the light.
