Plant Care
Position: Full sun in a warm, sheltered spot or bright indoor windowsill

Hardiness: Tender annual – not frost hardy, best grown indoors early in the season or outdoors after the last frost

Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Basil dislikes drying out completely and benefits from regular watering in warm conditions

Sowing: Sow indoors March to May or outdoors from late May onwards once temperatures are reliably warm. Lightly cover seeds with soil and keep warm for best germination

Harvesting: Pick leaves regularly from June onwards to encourage bushy growth and prevent flowering
