Phygelius ‘Orange’: a bold South African beauty with glowing trumpet-shaped flowers that cascade down tall stems all summer. Exotic-looking but surprisingly tough, this long-flowering shrub brings colour and movement to sunny borders and big pots.
Plant Care
Position: full sun to part shade in moist, fertile, well-drained soil – great for borders, slopes, or large containers
Hardiness: half-hardy semi-evergreen perennial shrub in the UK (down to around -5°C); protect with mulch in cold winters or overwinter in pots under cover
Hot Tips: deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Cut back hard in spring to encourage strong new growth. Excellent for wildlife-friendly planting, loved by bees and hummingbird moths.
