Pteris cretica 'Mayii - ribbon fern - silver ribbon fern

A lush, finely textured fern with elegant arching fronds, Pteris mayii (commonly known as Ribbon Fern) brings soft, feathery greenery to any indoor space. Its fronds are light green with subtle silver tones and grow in graceful, fountain-like clumps. Naturally airy and elegant, it’s perfect for bright bathrooms, kitchens, or anywhere that enjoys a bit of humidity.

Plant Care 

Light: Bright indirect light to full shade. Keep this plant out of the direct sun, or you will burn its lovely fronds.

Watering: They prefer to have moist but not soggy soil all the time, so give your plant water when the top inch of the soil is starting to feel dry. Be careful not to overwater, you don't want to risk root rot and don't let the soil dry out completely. 

Temperature: 10-25°C is this fern's temperature tolerance range, however, it generally prefers to stay above 18°C

Potting: A well-draining mix that holds moisture is a great choice for these. Our Thirst Trap mix is a great choice.
