Our rescue plants are looking for a loving forever home! Please note that each plant may differ from the listed images and may have some cosmetic imperfections. Despite this, all of our rescue plants are healthy and will flourish with proper care. If you would like more information, feel free to contact us. These plants are discounted due to cosmetic damage only—we never sell plants with pest issues. Your new green friend will be pest-free and ready to thrive.
Asparagus setaceus ‘Plumosus’, also known as Lace Fern, Climbing Asparagus, or Ferny Asparagus, is a delicate-looking yet surprisingly tough houseplant. Its feathery, bright green fronds add an airy, soft texture that works beautifully in hanging baskets, on shelves, or climbing up a support. Despite its name, it’s not a true fern — making it far more forgiving and adaptable indoors.
Plant Care
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but will tolerate light shade. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the fronds.
Watering: Keep soil lightly moist, letting the top centimetre dry out before watering again. Water less in winter when growth slows.
Temperature: Ideal range is 15–25°C; avoid temperatures below 10°C.
Potting: Best in our Thirst Trap mix for good drainage while holding a touch of moisture.
Hot tips: Mist-free zone — it enjoys average home humidity without fuss. Trim any yellowed fronds to keep it looking fresh, and give it a light feed in spring and summer.
Pet Friendly: No – toxic if ingested. 🚫🐾
