Codiaeum ‘Excellent’, commonly known as a Croton, is a bold foliage plant loved for its thick, glossy leaves marked with vibrant greens, yellows, and reds. With its upright growth and richly coloured leaves, it brings instant warmth and drama to bright indoor spaces. This variety is perfect for adding structure and colour to plant displays and works beautifully as a statement plant in well-lit rooms.

Plant Care

Light: Loves bright, indirect light and can even handle some direct morning or late afternoon sun. Too little light will dull the golden colour.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy. Water when the top layer feels dry.
Temperature: Prefers warm rooms between 18–26°C and should not drop below 15°C. Keep away from draughts.
Potting: Use a well-draining mix with good aeration. Our A Sandy Loam mix is a perfect choice.
Hot Tips: Rotate the plant regularly so all sides get good light and colour evenly. Mist-free humidity or a pebble tray will keep foliage lush.
Pet Friendly: No – toxic to cats and dogs.
