Description

Our rescue plants are looking for a loving forever home! Please note that each plant may differ from the listed images and may have some cosmetic imperfections. Despite this, all of our rescue plants are healthy and will flourish with proper care. If you would like more information, feel free to contact us. These plants are discounted due to cosmetic damage only-we never sell plants with pest issues. Your new green friend will be pest-free and ready to thrive.

Curcuma ‘Siam Sublime’, often called the Siam Tulip, is a striking tropical plant with lush green foliage and vibrant pink tulip-like bracts that bloom through the warmer months. Despite the common name, it’s actually part of the ginger family and brings a bold tropical feel to bright indoor spaces or sheltered patios in summer.

Plant Care

Light: Bright indirect light, but can tolerate lower light if you are ok with a slower-growing plant.

Watering: Water when the top inch is dry to the touch. Allow soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Temperature: 15-24°C is ideal. Avoid abrupt temperature drops as this plant won't be keen.

Potting: Well-draining, nutrient-rich soil is best for this plant. Our sandy loam mix is a perfect fit for this beauty.

Hot tips: Curcuma naturally goes dormant in autumn or winter. If foliage dies back, reduce watering and allow the rhizome to rest somewhere warm until new growth reappears.
