Rhipsalis Floccosa - Mistletoe Cactus

Rhipsalis floccosa (Mistletoe Cactus) is a soft, trailing houseplant with long, slender stems that cascade beautifully from pots and shelves. Unlike desert cacti, this epiphytic species naturally grows in rainforest environments, giving it a more relaxed, flowing look.

Its fine, branching stems create movement and texture, making it ideal for hanging planters or styling at height. Easy to care for and slightly more forgiving than many succulents, it’s a great choice for adding greenery without the need for intense sunlight.

Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light is best. It’ll tolerate softer light but avoid direct sun—it’ll crisp those fuzzy stems.

Watering: Let the top half of the soil dry out between waterings. It’s a jungle cactus, not a desert one—loves a drink but hates being soggy.

Temperature: Thrives in 16–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and sudden drops below 10°C.

Potting: Our Airy Aroid mix is perfect—chunky, breathable, and ideal for those epiphytic roots. Add a little extra perlite if you want it extra light.

Hot tips: Loves humidity and good airflow—great in bathrooms or grouped with other plants. Trails beautifully, and you might even get little white flowers in the right conditions! Easy to propagate from stem cuttings.
