Ajuga reptans Black Scallop

This creeping perennial is usually evergreen and has shiny, dark scalloped leaves. It also produces short spikes of deep blue flowers in late spring and early summer. When the weather gets lighter and colder, the leaves tend to get even darker.

Light: full shade to partial shade

Watering: These plants do not like to sit in dry soil, so make sure your soil is always moist, but avoid letting it sit in water as they are prone to root rot.

Temperature: Fully hardy down to -20C
